DIVVY/dual Project #1 is the first edition of a new series of events aimed at building a platform to re-connect the different agents involved in creative acts: the builder (artist / creator), the mediator (curator / organizer), and the crowd that contemplate the resulting work (audience).
This first edition will consider how Open-Source principles borrowed from the software world could challenge the current art world and the relationships between its agents.
First Edition (September 2006 - Tokyo, Japan)
The First Edition being held in September 2006 includes an exhibition by artist Takumi Endo: Type-Trace and an Art Talk: Is Open Source Art Possible? We are starting distribution of application and its source code shortly.

DIVVY/dual プロジェクト #1は、創造行為を行う人（アーティスト/クリエイター）、それを伝える人（キュレーター/オーガナイザー）、そしてそれを楽しむ人たち（オーディエンス）の繋がりを新しく模索するためのプラットフォームを作っていく最初の取り組みです。この#1 では、ソフトウェアの世界におけるオープンソースという発想がどのようにして現在のアートの世界とそこで活動する人々に影響を与えるかというテーマを考えていきます．
第一回のエディションでは、作曲家／メディア・アーティストの遠藤拓己による作品展示TypeTrace展覧会、そして、「アートのオープンソース化は可能か？」オープン・サロンの トーク・イベントがフィーチャーされ、このサイト上でのアプリケーション／ソースコードの配布を開始します。
